GET INVOLVED
FINANCIAL SPONSORS
Finding 850+ individual sponsors can be challenging, and while many want to help, time can be a constraint. If you fall into this category, you can still make an impact! By giving a tax-deductible donation of any size, you help us sponsor students who remain unsponsored (We’ll do the shopping!) Your donation also supports the creation of our Basic Necessity Boxes, ensuring families receive essential items.
HOW THE 15:11 PROJECT WORKS
1. Identifying the Need
We collaborate with social workers across El Paso to identify families in need—typically single-parent households with two or more children, often living in homes without electricity, running water, or proper heating. Many students wear old, undersized jackets and shoes.
2. Finding Sponsors
We recruit sponsors to cover the 850 children identified by social workers. Sponsors are responsible for providing an age-appropriate gift, an outfit and either a jacket or pair of shoes for their assigned child. While additional items are welcome, the focus is on meeting basic needs. Sponsors may sponsor more than one individual, expecting each person to receive at least the minimum required. We ask that gifts be wrapped in gift bags and clearly labeled with the provided family number and recipient information.
3. The Warehouse
All gifts are collected at a warehouse graciously sponsored by EWO Trucking, organized, and prepared for delivery. Sponsors are welcome to join in box prep, but participation is not required.
4. Basic Necessity Boxes
We assemble boxes of essential items like water, toiletries, and food for each family. Sponsors and volunteers are encouraged to help with this part of the project.
5. Delivery Day!
On December 7th, we will deliver gifts and celebrate with the families. Volunteers must wear an official t-shirt for easy identification (available for purchase). Spots are limited, so if you’d like to participate, please contact us as soon as possible.
